The Purple Paw Award is given by the Emeriti Alumni Council (EAC) in recognition of special achievements and contributions to the university and to our community by current and former Wildcats. It includes a certificate signed by all members of the EAC and is usually presented to the recipient at one of the council's monthly meetings. The recipients are Wildcats selected from one of five groups: 1. Current students 2. Former students 3. Faculty 4. Staff 5. Community Members They are selected based upon remarkable, unusual or long term contributions which have provided noteworthy service to the university or community, and/or which have brought acclaim to WSU. The Emeriti Alumni Council is looking for the "unsung" hero and will give first consideration to those candidates who have not received other WSUAA alumni awards or an honorary degree from WSU. Previous recipients of all Weber State awards are listed here. Names for consideration can be submitted by completing the online form. You may also print the form, complete the required information and submit it as outlined on the printed form. Submitted nomination forms are screened by the EAC Recognitions Committee which then presents its recommendation to the Emeriti Alumni Council for ratification.
